Set Up:

Groups of four play move the ball in a simple pass and follow pattern. After they have played a pass to any other member of their group, they follow the ball and simulate a defender putting pressure on the ball. The player receiving the ball should fake as they receive and then play a pass to the third member of the group. After passing, each player continues the sequence by pressuring in the direction of the ball.  At the beginning of the drill, each player should adjust his speed and allow the receiving player to be successful. The speed of the drill can increase as it progresses. The coach should encourage  the players to try the things they have been working on (faking as they receive, controlling the ball in the direction they wish to pass the ball) under the pressure of the defender.

Coaching Points:

1.   As you receive the pass, use feints to slow the defender down.

2.   Your first touch should take the ball away from the oncoming player and into the correct space.

3.   Your movement off the ball should be quick and energetic.
