Set Up:
10-15 players are set up in the defending third, starting at the cones. To begin the drill, the Goalkeeper 1 plays the ball out to Player 1. Player 1 plays back to Player 2, and Player 2 passes the ball thru to Player 3. Player 3 then changes the ball to the other side of the field to Player 4. Player 4 passes the ball up to Goalkeeper 2, and he returns it to Goalkeeper 1. During the drill, the players rotate to all of the positions, and the goalkeepers switch positions after ten minutes.
Coaching Points:
1. The passes in the up, back and thru combo should be one touch passes.
2. Players 3 and 4 must hold their runs long enough to let the play develop.
3. The speed of play depends on the quality of the first two passes.
Progressions:
1. Run up, back, thru to goal on the opposite sideline.
