Set Up:
There are 13 players set up in the attacking third, playing 3v3 inside of the penalty area and 1v1 in the flank zones. A neutral attacker plays outside of the 18. Play begins with a pass from the Feeder to an attacker in either flank zone. Play moves from the flank zone into the penalty area, and when the ball is passed in, the two players in the opposite flank zone can enter the penalty area as well. Also, the ball can be played out to the neutral player, but he may not play the ball into the penalty area. If the defenders win the ball, they must play it back out to a flank zone before going to goal.
Coaching Points:
1. Use the neutral attacker to change the field when one flank closes down.
2. Pass the ball back out to the neutral whenever you get turned away from goal.
3. Take shots from the outside and draw the defenders away from goal.
Progressions:
1. The neutral attacker can shoot on goal.
