Set Up:
14 players are set up in the defending third, playing 4v3 inside of the 18, and 3v2 in the midfield zone. The Feeder begins play with a driven pass towards the corner. From there, the attackers try to work the ball out of the back and score in either of the two small goals set up at the top of the midfield zone. If the defenders win the ball, they try to finish on goal. All players must remain in their own zones during the drill. When a goal is scored or a ball is put out of play, the Feeder re-starts play with the next pass towards the corner.
Coaching Points:
1. Use the entire space, switch fields, and involve the goalkeeper in the attack.
2. The outside backs should look to run with the ball once it is played out to the flank.
3. Do not take risks in the defending third, or take on any defenders 1v1.
Progressions:
1. Expand to half-field, play 4v3 in the midfield zone.
