Set Up:
Six players are set up on a split field, starting 2v1 in the defending half, and 1v2 in the attacking half. The Feeder begins play with a pass into the defending half. The attacking team must dribble the ball across the midfield line and into the attacking half before attacking the goal 2v2. When the defenders win the ball, the opposing attacker returns to the defending half, and play continues 2v1. On goals and on balls played out of bounds, the Feeder re-starts the game.
Coaching Points:
1. Expand the space in the defending half to take advantage of superior numbers.
2. Change the point of attack quickly in order to create space for a dribbling run.
3. Use 2v1 combinations (overlap, thru pass, wall pass) on isolated defenders.
Progressions:
1. Play 3v2 and 2v3 in the two halves.
