Set Up:
There are 12-16 players set up in the attacking third, with lines starting at the cones. To begin play, the Feeder plays a 50-50 ball down the center of the field. With his first touch, the first player in each line releases from the cone, runs thru the gate, and tries to win the ball. The 1v1 continues to completion from there. If the defender wins the ball, he can score in the two small goals set up outside of the penalty area. The type of service given by the Feeder can vary (see Progressions).
Coaching Points:
1. A positive first touch towards goal creates a better shooting angle.
2. Get between the defender and the goal and put him on your back.
3. Make contact with the defender first as opposed to letting him knock you off the ball.
Progressions:
1. Bouncing ball service.
2. Air ball service.
