Set Up:
The players on the field play 1v1, and each player has two teammates to use as bumpers in the attacking half. The bumpers are limited to one touch, but they can move along the sideline and along the end line in their own half. When an attacker scores, he stays on the field and a new defender comes on. Games have a two minute time limit. If no one has scored, a new 1v1 comes on.
Coaching Points:
1. Use the bumpers for combos and create blind side runs.
2. Look for a quick transition when the goalkeeper makes a save.
3. When shooting a ball set back from the end line, try not to overpower it. Get the shot on the frame.
Progressions:
1. Build up to 2v2 and 3v3 plus two, both ways.
