Set Up:

Ball #1: At the start, GK 2 throws out wide to Player 2, who runs with the ball towards the opposite goal. Player 1 – who had just taken a shot at the other goal – tries to cut off his run. Player 2 runs by Player 1 and finishes. Ball #2: After the shot on Ball #1, GK 4 outlets to Player 3 as Player 4 makes an overlapping run from the end line. Player 3 takes his dribble inside, and then plays the ball to the outside for Player 4 to finish. After shooting, Player 4 immediately runs after the outlet pass from GK 2, trying to cut off the attacker’s run to goal. During the drill, the players rotate from 1 to 2 to 4. Player 3 stays at his passing spot until he is replaced by the coach.

Coaching Points:

1.  First Touch – When receiving the outlet, Player B takes his first touch forward, right at the goal.

2.  RWTB – Touch the ball with your toe pointed down, using the shoelaces. Push it straight ahead.

3.  Finishing – On a breakaway, create a shooting angle with your last dribble touch.

Progression:

No Player 4. After shooting, Player 2 runs the entire circuit, making the overlapping run on the other side.
