Place three small goals on each endline. The teams start in front of their own goals and play begins with a pass from a defender to an attacker. When the ball goes over the sideline, dribble or pass the ball back in. The turn is over when a goal is scored or the ball goes over the endline.
Variation: Instead of small goals, use gates to dribble through.
Game: Play two times five minutes and keep track of the score.
Focua Points:
Attackers:
- Keep the field wide.
- Make the right choice; go for the 1v1 and beat your opponent or pass the ball.
- Runs to create space or to get behind the defense.
- Keep ball possession.
- Score.
Defenders:
- Role of first, second and third defender.
- First defender, closest to attacker with the ball, pressures the ball.
- Second defender gives cover to the first defender but is close enough to the second attacker to pressure the ball immediately when they receive the ball.
- Third defender covers the second defender and creates balance.
Transition:
- After losing the ball, win it back as quickly as possible. 5-Second Rule.
- After winning the ball, explode and try to score as quickly as possible.
