Possession Play, 7v3
Organization:
Field 30 x 40, with 5x5 grid in center. One player of the attacking team in the center grid. Defenders can go into the center grid. Attacking team tries to find the central player.
Game: Attacking team scores a point any time they find the central player or when they connect eight consecutive passes. Defenders get one point for intercepting the ball and making two consecutive passes
Variation: Point is scored when the central player connects a pass.

Defenders:

Always try to form a triangle with one defender pressuring the ball and two defenders taking away the split pass.

Constantly Create a PRESSURE TRIANGLE.

Cues to pressure and win the ball: Ball through the air, attacker receives the ball in the corner, player receives a slow pass or a hard pass, poor first touch.

Defenders need to COMMUNICATE!
Attackers:

Create flow to move the defenders and to create space for pass to the central player.

Value the ball and try to break the vertical line (BVL) as often as possible.
