Organization:

Field 40 yards long x 20 yards wide, one large goal with GK, one small goal. Attackers play in a 2-2-1 formation. Defenders in a 2-1-1 formation. Attackers (5+GK) score on the small goal, defenders score on the large goal. Ball starts with GK every time.

Coaching Points:

Transition when losing the ball:

• Reaction! 5 second rule. Blitz. Keep pressuring.

Transition when winning the ball:

• Explode! Quick pass or dribble into space.

• Players away from the ball move and create space quickly.

Attackers:

• Make the field large, good positioning and shape.

• Keep ball possession.

Defenders:

• Put pressure on the ball.

• After winning the ball, keep ball possession.
