Organization:

Area: 40y x 30y

Create three teams of four, using one team as neutrals playing on the outside of the grid. The teams play on ball possession, using the four neutral players to create an 8v4 advantage. Switch neutral players every three or four minutes.

Variations: Two touch maximum, including the neutral players. Neutrals cannot make return passes.

Game: Award one point for making six consecutive passes, play three-minute games.

Coaching Points:

Transition when losing the ball:

• Reaction! 5 second rule.

• Blitz. Keep pressuring.

Transition when winning the ball:

• Explode. Quick pass or dribble into space.

• Players away from the ball move and create space quickly.

Attackers:

• Make the field large, good positioning and shape,

• Keep ball possession.

Defenders:

• Put pressure on the ball.

• After winning the ball, keep ball possession.
