4v2 Into 4v2
4v2 Into 4v2
Organization:
Divide a field of 36 x 15 yards into three grids of 12 x 15.
Create three teams of minimum 4 players. One team in each grid. The defending team starts in the center grid.
The ball starts with one of the teams in the side grid. Two defenders from the center grid move into the attacking grid to start a 4v2. The defenders try to win the ball back. The attackers play on ball possession, but try to play the ball to the attackers in the other grid at the right moment.
When the attackers play the ball to the other side, the other two defenders in the center grid now run into that grid to start the 4v2. The other two defenders quickly move back into the center grid.
The defenders in the center grid work together and close down the passing lanes.
When the defenders win the ball, in the 4v2 or by intercepting the pass, they quickly pass the ball to the other attackers and take the positions of the attackers who just lost the ball.
The attackers who lost the ball are now the defenders and quickly pressure the ball.
When teams have more than 4 players, rotate players in and out every couple of minutes.

Transition when winning the ball:
-
Explode. Quick pass to the other grid.
-
Quickly get into the diamond shape.
