Set Up:

12 players are set up in the attacking third, playing 1v2 in the penalty area, and 4v3 outside of the box. The Feeder begins the drill with a pass in to any attacker, and play continues from there. Goals cannot be scored from outside of the penalty area unless the conditions are changed. When the defenders win the ball, they play it back outside to the Feeder and become the attacking team. On goals and ball put out of play, the game is re-started by the Feeder.

Coaching Points:

1.  When an area of the field closes down, switch the point of the attack to an open area.

2.  Check away and hold your run until your teammates are prepared to make the pass in.

3.  When pressured from behind, look to lay the ball off rather than turn.

Progressions:

1.  Attackers follow their own pass into the penalty area.

2.  Play 2v3 in the penalty area, and 3v2 on the outside.
