4v2, Twice
4v2, Twice
Set Up:
Ten players are set up on a split field, starting 4v2 in one half and 2v2 in the other. During the drill, the four attackers maintain possession in their half of the field, and look to change the ball over into the other half within five passes. When the ball is switched over, two of the attackers cross over with the pass, re-forming the 4v2. If the defenders win the ball, they are free to move within the entire space as they try to keep possession. Balls put out of play are re-started by the Feeder, and new defenders should rotate in every five minutes.
Coaching Points:
1. Use the entire space and force the two defenders to chase the ball.
2. Anticipate the pass into the other half and get across the midfield line immediately.
3. Get the ball off of your foot before the defender closes you down.
Progressions:
1. Progress to 4v3 in each half.
