4v3 Inside, 4v3 Outside
4v3 Inside, 4v3 Outside
Set Up:
16 players are set up in the attacking third, with a 4v3 inside of the penalty area, and a 4v3 outside of the area. Play begins with a pass from the Feeder into the attacking team, and then continues 8v6 to goal. All of the players must stay in their areas during the game. If the defenders win the ball, they can score in the three small goals set up outside of the penalty area. Balls put out of play are re-started by the Feeder. After ten minutes, the defenders switch onto the attacking team and six of the attackers switch to defending.
Coaching Points:
1. Play in a one and two touch rhythm, and get the ball off of your foot.
2. The midfielders should use the entire space, and force the three defenders to chase.
3. Look for finishes from crosses and set backs from the end line.
Progressions:
1. The defenders are free to move within the entire space.
