Ten Shots, Drill #3
Ten Shots, Drill #3
Set Up:
Eigtt players are set up in the attacking third, with the shooter starting at the ‘D’. The Feeder begins the drill with a thru pass in to the shooter. The shooter comes to the ball to receive, lets it run by, and then finishes on goal. After the shot, the shooter returns to the ‘D’ to receive the next pass. Each shooter finishes ten shots, and then switches out with a player on the end line. A running score is kept for each player during the round, and the loser gets some sort of penalty.
Coaching Points:
1. If the thru pass is hit hard, settle the ball as opposed to letting it run by.
2. As you come out of the turn, pick your head up and deal with the goalkeeper.
3. Take your last dribble touch to the side to improve your shooting angle.
Progressions:
1. The Feeder tosses the ball over the shooters head.
