Shooting Shuttle
Set Up:
There are 12-16 players set up in the attacking third, starting at the cones. To begin the drill, Player 1 passes square to Player 2, who shoots on goal. After the shot, Player 2 runs into the penalty area to finish the near post cross from the Feeder. After Player 2 takes his second shot, Player 1 repeats the pattern, receiving the first ball from Player 3. After Player 1 finishes his two shots, Player 3 takes his turn, and so on. After they finish shooting, the players rotate to the other line.
Coaching Points:
1. Circle you run to the square pass and create a shooting angle for yourself.
2. Hold your run to goal so that you have time to adjust to the cross.
3. Approach the cross at an angle as opposed to running straight to goal.
Progressions:
1. Finish a ball set back from the end line.
