Set Up:

There are 12-16 players set up in the attacking third, starting at the cones. To begin play, the goalkeeper sends the ball out to Player 1. Player 1 passes up to Player 2, who passes back to Player 3. Player 3 sends the ball thru to Player 4, making an inside-out run to the corner. Player 4 controls and crosses, and Player 5 finishes.  Upon completion, the players rotate from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 to 5. After ten minutes, the starting positions are switched over to the other side of the field.

Coaching Points:

1.  Player 4 must wait for the up, back, and thru to develop before starting his run.

2.  Player 5 must hold his run until Player 4 looks up and prepares to cross.

3.  Circle the approaching run and approach the cross at an angle.

Progressions:

1.  Add a defender in the penalty area.
