5v5 Plus Two, #4
5v5 Plus Two, #4
Set Up:
There are twelve players set up on a narrow field, playing 5v5 plus two. To score, the attacking team must pass the ball to one of the two attackers stationed in the corner zones. They can also use the two neutral attackers playing along the sidelines. After scoring, the attacking team tries to maintain possession of the ball for as long as possible, but they may not score again until they re-possess the ball from the other team. On balls put out of touch, the Feeder re-starts play.
Coaching Points:
1. Anticipate changes of possession in order to have a quick transition.
2. Continue playing after a goal is scored. Don’t switch off and become a spectator.
3. Move the ball with one and two touch passing as opposed to the dribble.
Progressions:
1. Play with one neutral in the center.
