2v2 with Help
2v2 with Help
Set Up:
Twelve players are set up on the small field, playing 6v6. The teams play 2v2 inside of the field, with a supporting player stationed on all four sides. The attacking team scores by passing to the attacker on the goal line (Player 1 for both teams). The outside players are limited to one touch, and they are not allowed to defend. When a goal is scored, the attacking team keeps possession of the ball and changes direction. On balls put out of play, the game is re-started by the Feeder.
Coaching Points:
1. The team in possession should look to counterattack immediately after winning the ball.
2. Anticipate changes of possession and create chances to attack 2v1.
3. Maintain possession until a good opportunity to attack materializes. Don’t force it.
Progressions:
1. Allow outside players to switch in on the fly.
