2v2 Plus One, Three Zones
2v2 Plus One, Three Zones
Set Up:
Fifteen players are set up on a field split into three zones, playing 6v6 plus one. During the game, the teams play 2v2 in each of the three zones, with a neutral attacker who can use the whole field. All of the other players must stay in their zones during play. Passes can be made directly from one end zone to the other, and when a goal is scored or the ball is put out of play, the game is re-started by the Feeder.
Coaching Points:
1. Hold the run and/or check away from the ball with a defender on your back.
2. Play one and two touch soccer, moving the ball faster than the defenders can recover.
3. Anticipate changes of possession and attack with superior numbers.
Progressions:
1. Play 2v2 plus one in all three zones.
