2v2, Central Goal
2v2, Central Goal
Set Up:
Six players are set up on a split field, playing 1v1 in each half with a two-sided goal set in the center. The attacker tries to beat the defender 1v1 and score in his half of the field. He can also pass to his teammate in the other half. If the defender wins the ball, he becomes the attacker. When shots are missed high and/or wide, the ball can be kept in play by the pair of players in the other half. The goalkeeper defends both sides of the goal and switches out after five shots or after he gets scored on, whichever comes first. When a goal is scored or the ball is put out of play, the game is re-started by the Feeder.
Coaching Points:
1. Look to attack the defender aggressively with the dribble.
2. If you have a decent chance close to goal, choose the finish over the pass.
3. Use the entire zone when looking for the ball to come over to your half.
Progressions:
1. Progress to 2v2 in both halves.
