Two Finishes
Two Finishes
Set Up:
There are 12-16 players set up on the small field, with players starting at the cones. Player 1 wall passes with Player 2, and finishes on goal. After the shot, Player 2 runs to the other goal to finish a cross from Feeder 1. After Player 2 shoots, Player 3 starts the next sequence with a pass up Player 4, who turns and finishes on goal. After passing, Player 3 runs to the other goal to finish the cross from Feeder 2. The players rotate to the other side of the field after shooting, and four new players re-start the drill. After 5-10 minutes, the starting positions are switched (the wall pass combination is moved over to the right side).
Coaching Points:
1. Delay the finishing run in order to finish the cross at sprint speed.
2. Slow down the approaching run so that you can adjust to the pass.
3. Make a curved run to the ball in order to create a better ball striking angle.
Progressions:
1. The crosses must be finished with a volley.
