Set Up:
There are six players set up in the small grid, starting at the cones. Player 2 begins the drill with a run towards the opposite cone, and Player 1 plays the ball across the grid for him to run onto. After receiving, Player 2 passes square to Player 1, and they turn and repeat the lead pass exchange back to the start. Players 3 and 4 take the next turn.
Coaching Points:
1. The receiver initiates the pass by making the run into space ahead of the ball.
2. When passing, check for the target one last time just before you strike the ball.
3. The pass should not slow the receiver down. He should have to sprint onto it.
Progressions:
1. No square pass. Only use diagonal lead passes.
