5v5 Plus Four
5v5 Plus Four
Set Up:
Fourteen players are set up on a large field, playing 5v5 plus four. During play, the attacking team can use the four neutral players stationed on the outside, but the neutrals are limited to one touch. Teams score a point by making 5-10 consecutive passes. When the ball is put out of play, the game is re-started by the Feeder. Games are played to three points, and the neutrals switch with four players from the losing team.
Coaching Points:
1. Look for long passes to the outside, forcing the defenders to cover the entire space.
2. Wait for the play to develop, then start your run when the defender turns his head.
3. Create 2v1 combinations with a quick transition to attacking after winning the ball.
Progressions:
1. Attackers play 1-2 touch.
