3v1 Into 3v1
3v1 Into 3v1
Set Up:
Six players are set up on a split field, playing 1v1 plus two in one half and 1v1 in the other. The three attackers maintain possession inside their half of the field and look to change the ball over to the other half. They must complete five passes before changing the ball, When they do, the two neutral attackers cross over with the pass to re-form the 3v1. If the defender wins the ball, he changes roles with the attacker. On balls put out of play, the game is re-started by the Feeder.
Coaching Points:
1. Make deceptive runs away from the defender in order to create enough space.
2. Look to use overlaps and takeovers versus the lone defender.
3. The neutrals must have a fast transition into the other half and relieve the pressure.
Progressions:
1. Progress to 3v2 into 3v2.
