Combination Shuttle, Part 6
Combination Shuttle, Part 6
Set Up:
There are five players set up in the small grid, starting at the cones. Player 1 passes across to Player 2 and then runs into the center. Player 2 walls Player 3, coming back to the ball. Player 2 passes across to Player 4 and runs into the center. Player 1 runs out the center to support Player 4. The drill continues with players running into the center after playing the ball across to set walls on the same side of the field.
Coaching Points:
1. Strike the top half of the ball in order to keep a one touch pass on the ground.
2. The wall pass combo is two short passes made directly to the feet of the receiver.
3. The player receiving the ball initiates combination play by calling for the ball early.
Progressions:
1. Progress to Part 7 of the drill.
