Passing and Scanning
Passing and Scanning
Organization:
Set up a triangle of large cones in the center of the field.
Description:
Player 1 takes a dribble touch and then passes the ball through the triangle to Player 2. After passing, Player 1 follows his own pass into the triangle and double passes with Player 2. After bouncing the ball back to Player 2, Player 1 runs out of the triangle, scans the area behind him to find Player 3, and then receives a pass outside of the triangle from Player 2. Player 1 opens up as he receives the pass, and passes to Player 3 with his second touch. Player 3 then starts his turn. Player 2 remains at his end as Players 1 and 3 continue making their runs. Every two minutes, a new player switches over to Player 2's spot.
Focus Points:
-
One and two touch passing.
-
Opening the stance to scan and receive.
-
Run immediately after passing.
