Set Up:
Part 1: Players 2 and 3 begin the drill by making runs into the center. Player 1 passes up to Player 2, who one-touches the ball right back to him. Player 3 continues his run and stops just in front of the cone. Player 2 runs around his cone after playing back to Player 1.
Part 2: Player 1 passes the ball up to Player 3, and Player 3 plays it back to Player 2. After passing, Player 3 steps out around the cone, and Player 2 plays the ball thru to him. To complete the sequence, Player 3 controls the thru ball, and then plays it up to Player 4. Player 4 begins the next sequence in the opposite direction with Players 5 and 6. After each sequence, the players return to the cone on the opposite side of where they started the previous sequence.
Coaching Points:
1. Vision – While making your runs, never lose sight of the ball.
2. Timing – Adjust the speed of your runs if play slows down.
3. Speed of Play – Your passes should not force the receiver to slow down.
Progressions:
1. Limit one or more players to one touch.
