2v2 Into 3v1 Into 2v2
2v2 Into 3v1 Into 2v2
Set Up:
The teams start with 2v2s in each end zone and 1v1s in each of the four central zones. The two neutrals can move thru any of the four central zones to create 3v1s. All the other players must stay in their zones. GKs begin play in either end zone, and the attackers must make two passes before playing the ball out. They can pass into ANY of the central zones. From a central zone, the ball can be played directly into an end zone or into a different central zone. Upon completion or after a change in possession, the next attack must start from the end zone.
Coaching Points:
1. The Final Pass – Maintain possession until an excellent opportunity to play the ball in arises.
2. Speed of Play – Play one and two touch soccer and force the defender to chase in the 3v1.
3. Group Attacking – The neutrals need to anticipate play to create the next 3v1.
Progressions/Regressions:
Progression 1 – The two neutrals can run into the end zones to create a 4v2.
