Wall Passes to Goal
Wall Passes to Goal
Set Up:
There are 10-12 players set up in the attacking third, with three players starting at the cones and one player starting on the penalty spot (Player 4). Player 1 performs two wall passes with the support players on his way to goal. On the first wall pass, he has the choice of Player 2 or Player 3. The second wall pass is performed with Player 4. After finishing, the shooter replaces the first player that he passed to on his way to goal.
Coaching Points:
1. If the first pass is poor, the return pass is likely to be poor as well.
2. The return pass is played directly to feet and should not slow down the shooter.
3. The last pass should not take the shooter out wide to a poor shooting angle.
Progressions:
1. Player 2 or 3 also runs to goal after the pass up to Player 4.
