Organization:

Set up triangles with three players about 30 yards from the goal. Also place a mannequin in the center. Player 1 passes the ball to the deep player (Player 2 in the diagram) on the right or left,  and starts to make a run forward past the mannequin. Player 2 lays the ball off to Player 3, who passes the ball into the run of Player 1. Player 1 tries to score with a shot or a 1v1 with the goalkeeper. Players rotate positions after each turn. Work with two groups.

Focus Points:

• Pass the ball with the correct speed to the correct foot.

• Receive the ball with the correct foot.

• Can we play one-touch?

• The deep ball needs to be a leading pass.

• Time the deep run correctly. Don’t be offside.

• Concentration, focus.

• Communication. Verbal and non-verbal.

• Controlled finish.
