Set Up:
There are 8-12 players set up on a small field, starting at the cones. The defender begins play with a pass across the grid to the attacker, and follows the pass onto the field. The attacker can attack either of the two gates placed in the center, and after he dribbles through a gate (from either side), he can then try to score in the small goal. Upon completion, a new attack begins and the players rotate to the opposite line.
Coaching Points:
1. The defender must control the speed of his initial run and not charge in.
2. The decision to tackle or not depends on how well the attacker controls the dribble.
3. If possible, the defender should win the ball as opposed to kicking it out of bounds.
Progressions:
1. The attacker can score into either small goal.
