Set Up:
There are nine players set up on a small field, starting 2v1 in the defending half, and 2v2 in the attacking half. Play begins in the defending half. When the ball is advanced across the midfield line, the neutral attacker crosses over with the pass, creating a 3v2. When the defenders win the ball, a player from each team runs out of the defending half to create their 2v1. Balls played out of bounds are re-started with a kick in, and the Feeder re-starts play when goals are scored.
Coaching Points:
1. Expand the space in the defending half in order to take advantage of superior numbers.
2. Change the point of attack quickly in order to create a 1v1 for an attacker.
3. Choose the pass over the dribble in the defending half. Avoid 1v1’s close to goal.
Progressions:
1. Play 3v2 into 3v2.
