Set Up:
There are 12-16 players set up in the attacking third, playing 2v1 with lines starting at the cones. The defender moves to the penalty spot to begin play, and the Feeder passes the ball in to either one of the attackers. Play continues from there to completion. If the defender wins the ball, he can score in the two small goals set up outside of the penalty area. On goals or balls put out of touch, the Feeder re-starts play with the next set of players. During the drill, the players rotate to all three lines.
Coaching Points:
1. Dribble at the defender and force him to come out of the middle. Then lay the ball off.
2. Run the overlap and takeover combinations near the top of the box.
3. If the defender charges out, fake the pass across the box and dribble past him.
Progressions:
1. Play 1v1 plus one.
2. Progress to 2v2.
