Set Up:
13 players are set up in the attacking third, playing 2v1 in the flank zones, 2v1 in the central zone (marked by blue cones), and 1v1 in the penalty area. The Feeder passes to an attacker in the central zone to begin play. From there, the ball is first played into a flank zone, and then into the penalty area for a finish on goal. All of the players must stay inside of their zones during play. If the defenders win the ball, they can score in the two small goals set up outside of the penalty area. On goals and balls put out of play, the Feeder re-starts the drill in the central zone.
Coaching Points:
1. Hold your run until the attacker is prepared to pass the ball into the next zone.
2. Check away from the ball and create space before showing for the pass.
3. Use the entire zone and do not allow the one defender to cover two attackers.
Progressions:
1. A flank attacker can follow his own pass into the penalty area.
