Set Up:
Twelve players are set up in the large grid, playing 4v4 plus four neutrals. During the drill, the attackers and neutrals stay on the outside of the grid, playing keep away versus the four defenders. When the defenders win the ball, the attackers switch into the middle. Defending teams rotate out of the middle if they are unable to win the ball within one minute. The Feeder re-starts the game when the ball is put out of play, and after five minutes, the neutral players switch with one of the teams.
Coaching Points:
1. Change the ball away from a crowded area of the field before it closes down.
2. Call for the ball early, well before your teammate receives the pass.
3. Open your stance when receiving and be able to see both sides of the field.
Progressions:
1. Play with three teams and no neutrals.
