Set Up:
There are 22 players set up on a split field, with players starting from the sideline. During the game, the attacking team starts in the defending half, and the defenders may not cross over the midfield line. Play continues 6v4 to completion. On a goal or a turnover, the four defenders stay on the field and become attackers. Two additional attackers enter play, and the attack is re-started by the goalkeeper. Four new defenders enter the field in the other half, and play continues 6v4 from there.
Coaching Points:
1. The second defender goes to the first pass, the first defender drops straight back.
2. The goalkeeper must aggressively send defenders to the ball.
3. The defense plays in a flat line, except for the player jumping out to pressure the ball.
Progressions:
1. Start the attack with set patterns of play.
