Set Up:
There are five players set up in the attacking third, starting at the cones. During the drill, the Feeders alternate service to the shooter, playing the ball to him on the ground. After the shooter receives a ball and shoots, he sprints back to the cone, circles around it, then makes his next run to goal. After the shooter finishes five passes, he switches out with one of the Feeders.
Coaching Points:
1. Take small steps to the ball in order to make last second adjustments to the pass.
2. The setback ball does not need to be hit as hard as possible. Just make solid contact.
3. Approach the ball at a forty-five degree angle. Take a big step to the side if necessary.
Progressions:
1. Air ball service.
2. Driven ball service.
