Set Up:
There are 12-15 players set up in the attacking third, starting at the cones. The Feeder begins the drill with a pass up to Player 1. Player 1 plays a back pass to Player 2 or Player 4. As the back pass is made, Players 3 and 5 make overlapping runs down the sideline. The last pass can be played thru to either flank, and the sequence finishes with a cross and finish. Upon completion, Player 1 stays in his position, and the other players rotate counter-clockwise. A new player rotates in for Player 1 every five minutes.
Coaching Points:
1. Always try to increase the speed of play with one touch passing.
2. As the defense flows to one side of the field, quickly change the direction of play.
3. Continue the overlapping run, even if the passer looks away from you.
Progressions:
1. Player 2 can play thru to Player 4, and vice-versa.
