At the coaches discretion, players are rewarded by being sent to the scoreboard. The game will continue as this is happening.
The scoreboard in this game consists of a mini golf chalenge, with players trying to putt the ball in the hole to achieve a goal that will be added to their teams score in the match. Multi-sports activities really engage the players as they work hard in the game to have a shot at the fun game. In the past I have used basketball nets, bowling balls and pins and challenged players to do 5 keepy ups using a tennis racket and ball.
As always, ensure to let players know you won't just praise goal scoring but positive behaviors as well. Rewarding such behaviors will likely motivate players to repeat them. Scoreboard Soccer is designed to help the holistic development of young people through praising and promoting characteristics such as team work, sportsmanship and respect.

Give players the option to putt from further away for more points.
