Set Up:
Players pass and follow the ball around the grid, putting pressure on the player that they passed to. As the 'defender' runs hard to the ball, the attacker touches it to the inside of the field, making the defender miss. The attacker then collects the ball, passes it to the next corner and follows it. This move is also known as the "African Dribble".
Coaching Points:
1. Recognize that a defender running straight across the field at you is vulnerable to this move.
2. Let the defender come in at full speed before you touch it off.
3. Step to the side and avoid contact with the defender as he comes in.
Progressions:
1. Shorten the pass and give the attacker less time to react.
