Set Up:
Six players are set up inside of the grid, working back and forth between the cones. To begin the drill, Player 1 passes up to Player 2 (or Player 3). Player 2 lays the ball off for Player 1 to run onto, and Player 1 strikes a first time pass up to Player 4. Players 2 and 3 then run to support Player 4 as he begins his turn. The pattern continues with the central players (1, 4, 5 and 6) working in a shuttle fashion, while Players 2 and 3 continue to make the supporting runs. Every 30-60 seconds, two new players rotate to the support positions.
Coaching Points:
1. Player 2 takes most of the pace off of the ball, allowing Player 1 to one touch.
2. Player 1 accelerates after making the first pass and sprints onto the ball.
3. The support players should set up as if a defender were in front of the ball.
Progressions:
1. Limit the players to one touch.
