Set Up:
There are sixteen players set up inside of the small grid, lined up at the cones. The players work in groups of four, with two players starting at each end of the grid. Three support players move between the lines, while one defender (in blue) pressures the ball. The players make dribbling runs back and forth across the grid, combining with any of the support players. The passing combinations can involve more than two players. If no one supports the player with the ball, he simply speed dribbles across the grid and leaves the ball for the next player in line. New players rotate to the support positions every five minutes.
Coaching Points:
1. If the first pass is poor, the return pass is likely to be poor as well.
2. The support player must use feinting moves in order to create time for the overlap run.
3. If the support player is pressured, hold the overlap run and call for the back pass.
Progressions:
1. Add a second defender inside the grid.
