Set Up:
Four players are set up inside of the penalty area. The two shooters start on one side of the penalty area, playing five balls set up between the 18 and the six. The shooters take turns finishing on goal, working their way across the box. The goalkeeper starts at the near post, making saves and re-adjusting his position with each shot. The shooters move quickly, overlapping each other and giving the goalkeeper just enough time to recover in between shots. After the five shots, the goalkeeper switches out.
Coaching Points:
1. Come to a set position before the ball is struck, regardless of where you are.
2. Resist the impulse to fall backwards on shots from close in.
3. Choose to catch or parry as early as possible. Parry hard shots from in close.
Progressions:
1. The goalkeepers play every other shot.
