Set Up:
There are 10-12 players set up in the attacking third, starting at the cones. Two lines of shooters are stationed at the top of the drill. Each shooter is fed three balls: (1) A square ball from the Feeder, finished from the top of the ‘D’, (2) A ball set back from the end line, struck at the 18, and (3) A ball set back from the end line, struck between the penalty spot and the 6-yard box. The shooter can use two touches on the first shot, but the second and third shots are hit first time. After five minutes, the two players on the end line switch out to the shooting lines.
Coaching Points:
1. The shooter must slow down as he approaches the second and third shot.
2. The last touch taken before shooting should improve your shooting angle.
3. The shooter must deal with the goalkeeper rather than just hitting the ball at the goal.
Progressions:
1. Volley finish on the last ball.
