Set Up:
There are 12-16 players set up on a small field, starting at the cones. To begin play, Player 1 dribbles out of the corner and plays a lead pass to Player 2. Players 2 and 3 then combine on a takeover in the center of the field. After coming out of the combination (follow the red lines), Player 3 dribbles and turns to goal, wall passes with Player 4, and then finishes. Upon completion, Players 2 and 3 switch with Players 1 and 4, and then play re-starts from the other corner of the field, with Player 5.
Coaching Points:
1. Make an early choice whether to use the takeover or to fake it.
2. Use eye contact, body language, and verbal commands to get your message across.
3. Hold the runs until your teammate is ready to combine with you.
Progressions:
1. Player 2 fakes the takeover and walls with Player 6.
