Set Up:
Three players are set up inside of the grid, with two players starting opposite the cones and one player starting in between them. Players 1 and 2 serve balls to Player 3 as he makes runs back and forth between the cones. Player 3 controls each ball and makes return passes to the other two players. The patterns of play vary throughout the drill (see Progressions), and the players rotate to new starting positions every 30-60 seconds.
Coaching Points:
1. The receiver should make eye contact with the passer and call for every pass.
2. Always look up and check the target one more time before passing.
3. With the first touch, prepare the ball at the correct angle and distance before passing.
Progressions:
1. One or two touch return pass.
2 Player 3 runs in a figure eight.
3 Dribble past the cone and pass.
