Set Up:
5-8 players are set up in a small grid, with players starting at the cones. To begin the drill, Player 1 wall passes with Player 2 and then dribbles towards Player 3 (the sequence can also run towards Player 4). Player 3 runs towards Player 1, and they perform a takeover combination between the cones. Player 3 then dribbles the ball back to the start, and play continues. Player 2 rotates out of the center after two minutes.
Coaching Points:
1. Go to the ball and make the passes in the combinations short.
2. Make your pass to the player’s feet, and don’t lead him into the next defender.
3. Both players should accelerate out of the takeover combination.
Progressions:
1. Add the heel pass combination to the drill.
